Indian and Nigerian Multicultural Destination Wedding
06/05/2013
We can  never get enough of culture here at Munaluchi, and this Indian and Nigerian multicultural wedding in Jamaica is filled to the brim with it.  The bride and groom met during medical school in Chicago during an OB rotation.  And their proposal was so romantic – Jude proposed on a flight to Miami…30,000 feet in the air!  He had the captian announce for Sharan to stand, then then he proposed.  So sweet. For their rich cultural  July 2011 wedding, a destination was the best option since families would be flying in from all across the globe – Sharan is of East Indian heritage, and Jude of Nigerian heritage.  Enjoy this cultural expression of love with gorgeous images thanks to Rebecca of Studio b Photography.

From the bride…
We come from two rich cultural backgrounds, East Indian for me and Nigerian for my husband. We have family spread out all over the world and decided the best way to get everyone together and have fun was a destination wedding. We had 3 separate ceremonies- the traditional Sikh Anand Karaj, the Nigerian traditional wedding and then the christian ceremony.

The planning was a fun experience, and having a destination wedding makes things easier. There was an onsite wedding planner that helped with most arrangements. Family and friends helped immensely with a lot of the traditional details.
