Heritage Food & Friends

The West India Supper wrapped the six-event 2018 Jamaica Food and Drink Festival (JFDF) on Sunday, October 28. Michelle and Suzanne Rousseau created quite the spread and guests enjoyed dining throughout Jamaica House. After cocktails and appetisers in the grand reception hall they had the option to sit at tables in the courtyard or on one of the verandahs of the property. Tai Flora Luxe again did a fantastic job of creating a tablescape that was equally a conversation starter as it was co-star to the meal.
The guest list read like a who’s who roll call. It was Thursday Social shutterbait. Captains of industry, doyennes, financiers, entrepreneurs, legal eagles and philanthropists all decided that the West India Supper was the best way to spend their Sunday afternoon.
Modern heritage dining is the Rousseau sisters’ credo and creativity flows through their veins. They were supported by Nadine Burie and Select Brands and this collaboration allowed for a truly inspired dining experience.
Thursday Socia l has highlights.
